BartPE: What it is and why you need it.
BartPE, to put it simply, is Windows XP that you boot from a CD.
By using BartPE to bypass the normal (hard drive) Windows startup you also sidestep the loading of viruses and adware making it easier to clear difficult infections. If you have a PC that doesn’t boot you can start BartPE from the CD drive and use it to recover files from the hard drive of that PC.
BartPE can be used on any PC that can boot from a CD (all newer and most older PC’s can boot from a cd) regardless of the Windows version.
