Erased Or Corrupted USB Or Removeable Drive.

Files are often accidentally erased from usb drives and camera cards. I have successfully used Sandisk RescuePro to recover accidentally erased files on removable drives with (so far) 100% success. It can also be used to recover file from corrupted flash drives and memory cards.

README: If you need to use this utility or any other like it to recover erased or corrupted files DO NOT use the drive or card for anything else before running the utility. Do not add or erase files, do not format the card or drive.

When you erase a file it is not really erased. Erasing a computer file is analogous to removing a chapter title in the table of contents of a book but leaving the chapters text. Recovering an erased file is simply a matter of finding where the file (chapter) is on the drive or card (book) and restoring or replacing the “table of contents” entry for that file if the file has not been overwritten.

Note: the RescuePro program can be used with any usb drive or memory card not just the Sandisk brand as their website seems to imply.
